about

Between two themes by trumpet player Tom Harrell that are sumptuously arranged, a beautiful version of the classic "Body and Soul", Dal Sasso wrote a long piece, "Ouverture", that testifies of his ambitions to write for a big jazz formation. Influenced by Gil Evans, George Russell or Thad Jones, the former student of Ivan Julien also reveals an orchestral conception receptive to the influence of classic composers like Henri Dutilleux.
