Exhumant perles rares du Great American Songbook et des pépites signées par Herbie Hancock, Steve Swallow, Thelonious Monk ou Miles Davis, il signe avec « Falling Grace » un disque sublime en trio, accompagné par un orfèvre de la batterie, Jeff Ballard, batteur attitré de Brad Mehldau.

For the first time in a career full of high-level collaborations, French guitarist Romain Pilon has devoted an entire album to jazz standards. Exhuming rare tunes from the Great American Songbook and jazz gems composed by Herbie Hancock, Steve Swallow, Thelonious Monk or Miles Davis, he signs a trio record accompanied by a master of the drums, Jeff Ballard (from The Brad Mehldau Trio): “Falling Grace”.
